KraftMade is a cultural project aiming to support Romanian artisans and to restore local craftsmanship traditions. The SOXEN collection emerged upon a quest of discovery of the cultural heritage left behind by the Saxon artisans around Valea Hartibaciului, in Transylvania. Inspired by objects found in the Museum of Ethnography and Saxon Popular Art Emil Sigerus and others provided by the Soxen Association, the collection is representative for the essence and spirit of the Saxon culture. The objects were imagined together with Ileana Sebe [zwei] and handcrafted by a team of local artisans using traditional techniques.
